What does that look like in your eyes? I’m in a similar place now.
I went to a reefing buddy’s house yesterday and saw his sps tank. There was a huge difference in coral quality (his is way better). I asked what he was doing different, and he said he started dosing trace elements a few months ago. Then after watching some of the Serious Reefs videos, it got me thinking that I have been on a plateau for a while now, with no desire to achieve more. I then decided to challenge myself to see how high I can go as a hobbyist. I am not competitive at all, but I do like to learn and achieve new goals. So I’ll figure out what that looks like for me, and start applying it.

Got it I think I need to slow down a bit and reset to appreciate it again. Dealing with second ich outbreak.

I Voted YES, today Im having lots of fun, working on a new to me 120 build, painting and working on the stand, planning plumbing etc etc....... A few month back, not so much due to my RS 170 cracking the back glass panel. So yes today yes, is a roller coaster like some posted before, is always entertaining, always a learning process.

I think you’ll solve it if you want to put the effort in. I know it sucks, and wish you the best. Hopefully it’ll end up recharging your interest. I think I’m gonna do less posting and vids, and more reefing. Get back to the basics. Take care!

Thanks Matt!

I voted yes

Made the decision to try my hand at reefing about a year ago…Coming from freshwater only

Started to cube tanks and the water has been flowing for exactly 6 months yesterday

I had fish in both tanks a couple weeks later…

I started adding coral a few weeks ago, have about eight pieces total now and they’re doing well

I’m really enjoying the process… and the rest of my family seem to love it too!

What a horrible day today. Had to remove all rock work out of my 200 to remove all fish and hair algae. Shipped off the fish to be quarantined due to yet another ich outbreak and my favorite fish passed when I was bagging him up. Will miss my moorish idol…

In the first couple of months of the tank I’ve always dreamed about - an LPS dominant 180. So definitely having fun.
