Ash's Cube Tank

My name is Ash and I just signed up with R2R. This forum seems one of the most interesting ones out there.

Started my first nano 3 years ago and the second one a year ago.
Decided to combine the 2 tanks into something a bit bigger.
I put together a 2 feet cube with sump, now in process of filling it up.
I will have questions along the way and I would appreciate any help.

PS: I live in the north east of England.

Greetings from a fellow european ;) Nice looking tank. Is that a big piece of foam that the tank sits on?

Shep: I mostly have softies and some hard corals.
Got rid of all my fish and thinking of getting a couple of seahorses.
Winberg: yes it is. The panels cover a good chunk from the bottom so I decided to raise the tank for more visibility.

How thick is that foam? It looks really thick. That might be a concern. I probably wouldn't go more than 20-30mm.

I think its 20cm. Had the tank full of water on it for a while. Passed tbe test.

Transfered sone mature water and some salt in the tank.
Same thing happening with rocks and live sand.
