Wow that was a beautiful home... any idea what happened? Your new tank will be incredible best of luck.

Yes, the fire started in the master suite inside a wall by a fireplace that separated the sleeping area from the tub/shower area. Since it was interpreted as a chimney fire, it tiik the fire department almost 20 minutes to arrive. By then 30' flames were bursting through the roof. :(. But everyone got out alive a d we are home again :)

Welcome to the site. I am so sorry about the fire, stuff like that is scary.

Are you in the same house rebuilt, or did you move?

I'm guessing you are not gonna use that fireplace?Not because of the disaster but it may over heat the tank being so close.

We love the fireplace and I use a fire board to insulate the tank. We typically o ly burn a few logs in an evening, so heat is not much of an issue. :)
