Thank you all. Now I'm really nervous about getting a Red Sea tank. :anguished-face:
I feel bad to have scared you, but I wasn’t sure if you had come across all of the failures while you were deciding on a tank. Not everyone is aware of their history.

As mentioned above, Glass Cages, Innovative Marine (IM), and Waterboxes are all good choices. I’m on my second IM tank.

Welcome to the community! If your heart isn't set on Red Sea and you haven't purchased yet, I highly recommend looking at Waterbox or Innovative Marine. IM also has a blemished tank section that you guys might enjoy, if you jump off in the deep in and just go for a bigger tank right off the bat! :D

Welcome back!

I cannot state this more passionately. Stay away from Red Sea tanks. Completely. You went through that horror before and don’t want to see good people lose thousands. Those tanks are known to have bad seams. As a matter of fact, saw a new video today from a guy that had one. It was heart breaking.

Note- I already wrote this in another post and didn’t realize.

If you do get a red sea tank, in my personal opinion it should be placed in a container of slightly larger dimentions to catch the water WHEN it leaks!
Hope you find a good tank that lasts!

Greetings and thanks for letting me rejoin. It's been about 10 years since I had my last tank. It was a 120 with a sump, full cabinet, hood and combo metal halide and T-3 (?) bulbs. The tank failed, flooded the house! That and a subsequent move has kept me out of the hobby. My wife and I are now ready and anxious to get back into it. I can see from looking around and visiting local stores that technology has improved a bit since my last tank. Anyway, we are looking at getting a Red Sea Reefer 300 G2 and assorted equipment. See you all in the forums. :)👍🐟🐠
