I’m so stoked that I’m finally back in the ocean where I should be, I haven’t been in ocean since February.i didn’t think it would happen for awhile, First the virus and then my owner/boss of the boat got stricken down with heart disease and will be getting pacemaker at end of August and won’t be able to fish till next season. So he actually decided to sell the boat and retire, so that left me without a job and finances are getting tight. ( I thought I was going to have to get a land job) and that’s the last thing I wanna do. I hate being on land I belong out in the ocean,, it’s my church and my place of peace and happiness
Yesterday a boat in same marina called and asked if I wanted a spot on his dragged boat to go drag for fluke, I don’t even think he finished his sentence and I was like yes I’ll go. So we left last night at 6pm and I got home at 5 pm today. Long trip but awesome
God really does answer prayers, because I prayed to get off land and not have to find job outside of fishing

I saw this quote "The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever." I am say it is very true. No matter how bad a passage has been and how I swear I will never do it again, before we get tied up to the dock I am already looking forward to the next trip, the next dog watch, lack of sleep and the next sunrise and sunset at sea.
