Will be building stand for my new 100g IM tank. Will be posting more pics obviously but just received it Friday. Have a question about the rock i bought. I have 100lbs of rock a reefer took out his tank and just left it outside to dry for multiple days can I get away with just pressure washing it or should I to a 1:10 bleach/water solution to soak in? If so how long?

Thank you for responding It’s beeen out of water for months why I was thinking of just putting on my driveway after I pressure was the driveway so it’s clean and washing the rock with pressure way. I’d rather not do the bleach but if it’s more recommended or washing.

Waiting for RO unit to arrive. I have sand and rock on hand and a reef octopus regal200 it’s a bit big for my tank but it fits and I already had it. Still can’t make up my mind for lighting, should I do 2 gen6 xr30 pro or a RB meridian 35 with edge bars or a meridian 45? What would you do if they were free!!

Depending on how strong your pressure washer is and what tip you use on it, pressure washing will very likely eat the rock away. And if it doesn’t, it isn’t going to get deep into the rock where po4 will be hiding. I would go the bleach route. Take your time and enjoy the process. Welcome back to the addiction… I mean “hobby.” lol

You could dark cure the rock, likely everything on it is dead so you just have to wait for the explosion of ammonia which will feed the cycling of the rock. Throw it in a brute trash can with some salt water, a heater and a power head and wait for the cycle to finish.
