Good! I'm thinking of buying the MAXSPECT LAGOON LS60. And I have the doubt of the hole where the light arises. Do you know how wide and deep it measures? The hole of the overflow cover. For the rest, are you happy with the aquarium?

I kind of have a different view on the tank. I have the ls90 and would not buy again if I was in the market. The tank is a beast and built great however the whole smart aquarium IMO sucks. You don’t have a separate control panel for the gyre or skimmer so if something goes wrong with the panel you are stuck. The app is ok and of course you can use that but I haven’t been impressed. Also my thoughts are the skimmer leaves a lot to be desired, I have had my tank for less than a year and already replaced the skimmer with a tune 9410dc which is a solid beast by the way, haven’t had to mess with it not even one day….it is truly a set it and forget it skimmer. The skimmer that came with the max spect was constant fiddling to get it to perform right and even then I got very little output. I also just purchased back up return pump as the one that came with it is about on its last leg. However this is just my experience as mentioned earlier jarheadpilot loves his so mine may be a one off. Don’t let that discourage you as the tank itself is nice but felt it worth mentioning the good and bad :)

The aquarium has been a set and forget, especially the gate valve. The Red Sea was an every day adjustment. Maxspect skimmer produced very dark skimmate. Pump speed and water level dial took a half a day to adjust and if you have a decent ato, you never touch it again.

Flow through aquarium having top and bottom intakes grills keeps everything pristine sending it to the filtration. The Maxspect mj-l290 is the sleeper of the system. It has a beautiful color whether shifting to more white or more blue. Par is outstanding for sps dominant! I also purchased the mj-l230R for the refugium and Pom Pom macro grew like crazy and you can adjust the schedule to match your nutrient export.

The only item that took multiple days of adjusting is the Klir V4 rollermat. I put the magnetic level on the back of the sock tray and was getting anywhere from a week to week and a half because of my feeding with the plank(heavy).

App and front control panel on door work very well. There was a bug on the software app which I emailed Maxspect, and they fixed it within 24-48 hours. Very responsive!

Equipment is all high end and tank is built tank tough!

The only reason I sold it, was taking care of sump and tank. A lot more work vs my old max nano.

You reported a software problem and they fixed it so quickly?
More work is normal that they have the systems with sump down, as a backsump.
At first my idea is to continue with the filtering socks, and later install roller, but the RedSea Nano Mat, not kilo.
In my current aquarium I have one biggeer and it doesn't fit.

I finally have the system at home. I have a question, the skimmer level sensor, if it overflows, stop the skimmer, or just the sound alarm?
And the low-level sensor, which is in the riser pump, does it stop if it detects little water or only warns acoustically?

Hi guys, I just set my LS-060 up last weekend and am fine tuning it still! I'm glad to find others that bought this system as they don't seem to be very popular. Maybe the $3k price tag turned people off, but the sale price sounds like it grabbed a lot of people's attention!

I did all the same equipment you did. The ATO is cute, but I'm finding I'm refilling the 1.5g tank daily. I thought about using the gravity feed, but had a brand new Tunze that I wanted to use, and that's been a good experience. You have to run the tubing to the display tank though as it will siphon out if you pump to the sump below.

I'm not terribly thrilled by the app. I wish it had scheduling capabilities for the gyre and the skimmer, but they're just on and off. The light hooked up easily and that's pretty easy to figure out.

I have the return pumps on 8, the skimmer on 1. The gyre was throwing sand everywhere on 10% so I took on of the props off and capped it and it's much more manageable and I can run it at 20% without blowing everything around.

The same thing happens to me, I have to have the pump in 8 for it to overflow.Take too much water underneath.
