Bangaii Cardinal aggression between each other

I have 2 Bangaii Cardinals. They have been in my tank for 3 months and pretty much ignored each other. The small one hangs with my clown fish, the larger cruises around the tank. Recently the bigger one comes over and chases the smaller one up and down the corner of the tank. Should I separate them or is this normal.
 
Once they mature, they only can be in a m+f pair
