Banggai cardinal one day post release

Are you feeding them any thing in the refugium?

I just hatched some baby brine shrimp about to feed , it’s a 75 gallon refugium full of bugs and the fry looks like it’s feeding from the water column ❤️

@samcob welcome to reef2reef. Nice to have you aboard

@Streetdoc77 I see you you have loads of macroalgae. Insights and tips for lighting and what not. Starting to turn a 55fowlr into a macroalgae tank.

Congratulations on the new fish! How many fry do you have? Do you have a plan for feeding after BBS?

I recommend the fry foods from @Reef Nutrition. Their TDO Chroma Boost food starts with a small powder and they offer varying sizes all the way up through small pellets.

We've had a few Banggai breeders start feeding TDO as a first food, as opposed to newly hatched Artemia, with success! The key was to keep the food in suspension. Here is the link to our TDO: https://reefnutrition.com/product_tdo_chroma_boost.php

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

Awesome !!!! Thank you for sharing the link Chad ! This is the first brood I have seen ... I'm sure there will be many more to come .If I crank up the tunes wav box up a little that should definitely do the trick keeping food in suspension , I will order some and give it a shot . what size TDO granule size would you recommend ?

Feel free to buy it from an online vendor like SaltwaterAquarium.com or Bulk Reef Supply. We don't offer free shipping, but they do.

I would love to hear how this goes. You can also feed the TDO to all your fish and corals. Many people will feed the smaller sizes to their SPS and LPS corals.

Have a great weekend,
Chad
