There are times to ask and times to share.

Today is about sharing.

Have owned the Python No Spill for decades and it's works great with keeping sand beds clean too.

But, I've been bare bottom for many years and wanted to figure out a "mod" to make life more pleasing on the manner of getting out detritus, while preforming water changes, for the BB floor.

In early 2018 I contacted Python Inc, but got no response.

So, I measured the python's tubing:
ID = 5/8"

Then started surfing and found this gizmo

And came to this:

If has made BB life so easy over the past 15 months.

Hope this helps, and if you have any other (BB) tips, please fill free to add.

Edit:
Works great with coast 2 coast overflows too.

Nice Freddie ! ! ! !

Thanks Keith,

(lol)
Sump use:

If you take off the hard tube, and just use the end of the Python's hose.

It will suck, your sump up, nice and clean too... ;Woot ;Woot

:D

How much of a pain was it to stretch the hose over that tube?

It's a nice and tight fit, but you will not have to heat the hose to make it stretch around the Amazon tube.

The clear plastic tube will not come out either, unless you pull it off.

Thanks for the post Freddie! This may be just what I need to siphon out my red sea overflow as well.

that's awesome ! i need that in my life

Thanks

It will do the job.

If it starts to slow down, like a small clog build up, then pull out the Python, walk it back to your sink.

Then hold it over the sink, turn the sink attachment bottom to push water out.

That will blow out any big particles, then you can get back to siphoning out all your detritus.

I can get it all cleaned up, and still need it to pull out some more water, while doing my water change.
