Has anyone setup a Bashsea Bio Reactor to run, externally?

I have a Red Sea 350 - just got the 6-24. It's a beast....and won't fit inside the sump.

I wanna run it beside the tank. Is it possible? I tried setting it up - after a few leaks, gurgling pipes - a discovered, I need a bigger air pump (have a commercial and Tetra API150, on route). The media...isnt tumbling, at all.

I'm hoping...with the media tumbling, it'll sort out the drainage. Praying...I can get this to work right

I run a similar unit and use a sicce pump in the sump to feed it and the OUT line to a different section of sump

Ok perfect.

Ya, I spent some time on YouTube last night and honestly....most of the setups are external.

It's the plumbing - I can't really hard plumb it (yet - I'm probably gonna look into it down the road).

It's seems my air flow is the biggest issue. Found a few posts on here - that air flow is the most important part. My media isn't tumbling....or even really moving. So - the water flow is super inconsistent.

I've got some pumps showing up very soon - hopefully, that'll help balance out the input/output ratios :)
