Can’t let @PSXerholic be the only one to pump his coral full of roids. Let’s give it a try.

Test results from just now;

Alk 7.7dkh Hanna checker
Phosphorous 34ppb Hanna
Nitrate between 2.5 and 5 Salifert
Ca 440 Salifert
Mg 1380 Salifert
Temp 76
Salinity is 34-35

I use Tropic Marin salt. T5 and Kessil hybrid lighting. One Ice Cap 3K gyre set at 40% continuous mode. My lights are not on a controller. Just plain old on/off timers. 40g breeder display.

How long you had it? Have you found reef chili to have to big of particles?

I'll have to check my notes as to when I got it. It was a super chunky frag. It also seems pretty bullet proof. It hasn't really flinched during some of my blunders over the past few months.

The Reef Chilli particles seem to be a good size to me. I also have Coral Frenzy but prefer the Chili myself. I haven't used or seen reef roids to make a comparison. I would shake any dry coral food in some tank water for 30 seconds at least to help rehydrate it. That'll help the corals absorb the nutrition easier, imo. I feed in the morning before I head off to work. About 6 am when lights are off and polyps are fully extended.

That frag is just filling in to a solid mass!

It really is! The base is about a thick as the plug is. It's just now starting to shoot off some new branch growth. Good thing we switched this to a 1 year grow out, IMO. And this thing really is super blue! It's hard to pic up with my phone camera for sure.

I just cleared a spot for the contest frag. I had to cut away an ugly coral to make space. I was going to cut the whole thing out but when I started cutting I decided enough room had been made and part of the ugly duckling could stay (for now).

What I cut

Where it's going (I still need to putty over this area)

Wow, very nice. I'm thinking I don't have a chance in this contest!

I see Y'all prepping up for the fight……………….. Man that is awesome, lol.
Already fun with not even having the coral in hand ;-)

This week I will post my 6 months contest (inofficial) picture of the Vivid Rainbow Acro, frag to mini colony ……………. so you guys get a taste for what's coming.
Also check Bubbas SPS thread ……. whooooow, this will get nasty here, lol

Not everything goes always well, even in my case. Just lost my entire Birdsnest colony due to infection today…………………………..
