That's my assumption as well. I posted the end of January pic about 20 days after I received my frag.
I think as long as you post a picture once a month you are fine the important picture will be the final picture and that you will probably want to take as close to the end as possible.

Sorry, I missed this post but I just want to say I would be more than happy to have you contribute. I just ask that you try to keep discussion to this thread, the other thread is for official entry pictures only to help keep everything organized.

I'm in the same boat and would just like to participate for giggles to see how mine does along with everyone else's. I'll stay out of the main picture thread.

I may have one with an earlier measurement; I'll check the memory card.

Parameters as of 19 Feb but what I typically maintain:

Alk 7.7 dKh
Ca 405
Mg 1320
NO3 .5
PO4 .046
Salinity 35ppt
Max PAR 297 (Apogee MQ500 with full spectrum sensor) over this coral
Two Kessil A360WE (60% color/75% intensity) and two 54w T5s (ATI Blue+)
12 hour photoperiod; Kessil ramp from 0% to 75% over six hours and back down (10am - 10pm). Color ramps from 0% to 60% over two hours (10am - 12pm) and then back down from 8pm-10pm. T5s are on for eight hours (12pm - 8pm).

Looks real good! I have 2 questions, if you don't mind...

1) What lighting do you use?

And...

2) How did you go from green algae coated rocks to nice looking rocks in 17 days? I've never really had this issue but thought others might want to know...

I run two Kessil A360WEs and two 54w T5s (Blue+) over a standard 75g. The original rock that was in that spot had cyphastrea that was beginning to take over so I removed it and added two new pieces of dry rock to replace it. Just natural cycle.

Mines slowly encrusting and colors have come out nicely.... still some to go but you can see the difference in the tips compared to the base

Comparing to my picture from last month, it doesn't look like I have any vertical growth at all. There is a small bit of encrusting, but it's barely noticeable. This is pretty much what I expected. I upgraded (and did a 100% water change) and a few weeks ago and my nitrate and phosphate are already high. And my tank is struggling with bryopsis right now. I think the garf bonsai that was sent with this frag didn't make it through all of this. I just started a fluconazole treatment today.

Ok so I noticed today some tissue has come off the tip of mine....alk and cal has been stable....would it be to much light? It's on a 55 gallon with sbreefs...it looks like a bald spot on the side of the tip...

I have the same thing going on with mine. I moved it into the rock work in early February. The encrusting stalled and the coloration started going pale. My frag was lighter in color on the side that was getting hit by my Kessils compared to the shaded side. That indicated too much light to me so I moved it back to my frag rack a few hours ago. I also turned my Kessils down from 60% intensity to 45%. I also have 2x39w t5s as well.

Edit: just saw your pic. Not quite the same thing I have going on. Mines just pale.
