I did use that in the display, but like I said, a minimal amount. I highly doubt that has tin in it, but if you could figure out the amount, I'd be interested. I haven't used it since I've done water changes. But I haven't had the time to do them based on what you originally said (pasted below).

So far I've done 2 - 25G water changes, and 1 10G water change. Where do you think my tin would sit now? Total volume (before rock/sand/equip) is 93G.

Below is what you calculated for me.

10 WC @25% will get you down to 5 microgram/L
14-15 get you below 2 microgram/L

Ok, it's confirmed. It contains tin as a stabilizer ;-)
I'm trying now to figure out how much tin would be "supplemented" with all sorts of other heavy metals actually. That will take me a bit but will try.

It's part of the production process where the product is being made to stabilize it and to avoid certain chemical reactions during the manufacturing, it's complicated. The pellet is the final form of the product.


It's hard to determine how much Tin is in there, but seems a lot per Gram for our use at least.
There are no public available test results released.
But I found this article which raised concerns. Let me know if you buy it, lol. Would love to read the entire thing.

Anyways, if you need Hydrogen peroxide, use medical peroxide which is being made by vacuum Destillation which does not need Tin as a stabilizer apparently.

He is talking about Hydrogen Peroxide !!! Likely medical grade type as we can buy it as antiseptic in a pharmacy of grocery store.

The link you send me of the product you used is Sodium Hydroxide.
Sodium Hydroxide contains as per definition amounts of Sodium Stannate which is basically Sn=Tin.
See this link with the CAS ID of the product you used.
Under the section Products for Preparation you will find the Sodium Stannate.

Looks to be February 13th. Double check though as I hate for some reason you get disqualified because I said the wrong date.

Go to the official entries thread and search your name in the "posted by memeber" and check the box that says this thread only.

So many people for the most part kept up with the contest until we got close to the end. It's sad to see so many people not posting their final end of contest pic. I think I've counted over 20 people miss their final pic deadline.

Today, 5 months after receiving the frag.
I just gave up on measurement. The encrusting is too thick by now and this dang coral in the back simply grows across everything………it not clear in the picture but its branches are above the frag.
