I just finished tying in my separate frag system, to the main. Angry at me for waiting so long

I think that's voting, ya?

Yes here.

Then you need a fish barn next!!!!!

fish barn may or may not be on the agreed long term list. Problem for now is HOA and I want something bigger than a garden storage shed lol

Oh something I believe I forgot to mention. I’ve gotten the go ahead to mount my RoDI on the wall in the tank room. Just going to tie it into the kitchen sink line and drain since it’s just 8 feet away through a wall.

so yeah. Another development I’m quite excited about

As I’m sitting here watching YouTube documentaries about the Cold War, I find myself contemplating the new project.

I’m going with the same tote sump I’ll have on my 120 so I’m guessing total volume for the frag will be aroun 70 or 80g. I’m thinking 40-50lbs of pre-seeded rock. Mostly in sump.

also trying to decide if I want to go with simple frag rags, or copy @F i s h y and his lagoon and just have a low scape to grow things out on.

for the time being. Down the road might do away with both sumps in favor of a big stock tank for both.
I vote to keep separate. Always good to have separate system as a just in case for one crashing.

that’s me and the missus’ thought process as well. That said, might tie the 53 into the 120 for better stability. But wouldn’t consider that before knowing I’ll have a stand-alone coral system

So I got some boxes. About 5 days early. I have everything I need minus tank and rock. Also have the return for the 120 so I can move forward on that as well. Here’s some teasers. I’ll post more pics later. Suffice it to say I’m impressed. Max spect jumó stuff feels hefty and solid. More than I expected for how much they cost.

the excitement is strong with this one

As promised. Lights are surprisingly hefty. Body is all aluminum. Return feels like a brick. Going to use one in both systems.
this skimmer is so small if it works I may grab another for the 120. It’s total footprint is less than half of the reef octo I have.

Well look at you! Excited to see this come together. Let me know if you need help.
