I am running Redsea RL90s on a grow out tank. I currently run the 15k program but was wondering if I would see any better growth using either the 20k or 23k program. I would think the decrease in par The quarrels would get by changing to the 20 K or 23K since the white light would be turned down would have the opposite effect, but there has been several things I learned that are counterintuitive in this hobby so far.

Thanks

Sorry meant to post in lighting not Experiments mad research but don’t see a way to move post.

i dont think it will change too much with the red sea leds, just more of a visual change for viewing

RL is a popbloom sort of number
Not that it matters much but do you have a Redsea90 or a popbloom RL90... S ?
Not that it makes much of a difference. Both brands have a led color ratio that means to very blue.
Rl90 is 20:65 " not blue" to " blue"
Rl90 (s)ol? Is 10:75 not blue to blue.
Any k temp leaning to 8000-12000k ( model dependent) has you losing roughly 65-75 % of your available par photons.
What spectrum combo and or photon output is " best" for you?
You have 2 variables to consider...not one.
As a guess...running the not blue at 100% and adding blue until you reach the necessary par levels seems a reasonable assumption, regardless of the k temp it may fake.

The 15k vs 20k par depends on if you increase blue ( more par) or decrease white ( less par) to make it.

Im about to do a build with a side by side of 6500K vs 28K,
