The bass was yet another casualty from brooklynella. I originally thought that it was a potassium dose that burned its gills, but I realized that it first started acting strangely after my first Blue Zoo order... shortly thereafter I lost every. single. fish. except my clownfish, betta, rabbitfish, and one Kupang damsel. They are all that is left and are currently percolating in chloroquine phosphate in a quarantine tank while the display sits fallow. Three orders from Bluezoo and I have one $8 fish left to show from all of them. Bluezoo says it's me, but **** 'em, my microscope showed an infestation of brooklynella in the gills of the new fish before I even put them in the QT tank.Sorry for your losses, not the fun part of this hobby. Any idea why the Bass died, was it bullied? I meant to ask in the last post, but why the switch to a sandbed? are you happy with it? (would love to see pics , I like your display)
