Biocube 16?

I saw that the Biocube 16s are showing up on Amazon now, and I wondered how people felt about these tanks. I'm thinking about snagging one, but I wasn't sure if I should trust it.

I was looking at one on craigslist .. a Nuvo 16 ... but a google search turned up a problem with cracking?? seller told me the problem was just with the first generation ??? are they Nuvos you are seeing?

Idk what the Amazon deal is or how they compensate you if the tank breaks in shipping. But biocubes in general are a great value! 16 gallons considering the volume loss after rocks and sand doesn't leave you much water volume. But if your up to a little more work to keep the tank clean and resist the urge to overstock the tank I would go ahead and say pull the trigger and buy it!

Idk your circumstances but I'll just end my comment with going bigger (i.e. Water volume) is always going to be easier to maintain.

This would be my second tank. I've been looking for something smallish for 2 clown fish and a zoa garden

Gotcha! That's why I ended my comment with that. But you can't go wrong with a biocube I started off with one. I like the fact the come ready to be set up with the filtration and lights out of the box. It would be perfect for a couple clowns and a zoa garden. The larger biocubes are also great.

Did you end up buying the biocube 16? Im looking to buy the biocube 32g... but don't know how good those led lights are

I've had a Coralife Biocube 29G for two years with no problems. Glass is good and pump still working. I'm interested in the replacement hood from the new 32G that will fit the 29G. My main complaint with my Biocube is the noise of the fans and finding replacement CF bulbs that will fit (easy to find but all seem to be different sizes - not very good quality control on replacement bulbs).

I have been assured by Coralife that the new LED hood is a lot quieter.
