Can Calcium swings cause rtn?Any recent alk, pH, or temperature swings?
As mentioned above is there any possibility that the frogspawn stung it? They can have some longerish sweepers.

I would not think so.Can Calcium swings cause rtn?
Never seen it but calcium swings can cause alkalinity swings which can cause pH swings... So I guess potentially? Can Calcium swings cause rtn?
Shading as not getting enough light? Is this possibly shading?
Wish I would've known, I was told they're one of the easiest and more forgiving corals, I was also told this about the firework but then on the site a bunch said they're also very finickyLPS can have similar deaths. Brown Jelly Disease (BJD) is one LPS death where the polyps just sort of melt into a brownish goo.
As mentioned above, Birdsnest isn't really an easy coral (even though they're often sold as easy SPS). They have a tendency to do good for months or even years and then something changes and they go white overnight. They're fairly finicky when they decide to be - kinda the divas of SPS I guess?
Birdsnest are often sold as easy, beginner SPS sticks. However, they're also one of those that will grow for years and survive everything else in the tank and then one day, just because you looked in the tank at 3:07 instead of 3:15 they get irritated and RTN just to prove a point...Wish I would've known, I was told they're one of the easiest and more forgiving corals, I was also told this about the firework but then on the site a bunch said they're also very finicky
Shafting from higher branches.Shading as not getting enough light?
They can survive. I've had one where just a 1/4" tip was fragged and it grew back from that.Woow thank you all for the comment!
I just got home from work and like half of it is gone I could try cutting off some of the bigger branches so hopefully it isn't too late..
Any chance they can survive? Or is this usually 100% game over for them?
