SCIENTIFIC NAME: Chaetodon blackburni

COMMON NAME: Blackburns Butterflyfish

SIZE: 5.1†(13 cm)

MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE: 55 US Gal (208 L)

FOODS & FEEDING: Feeds on crustaceans, worms, and soft coral polyps.

REEF COMPATIBILITY: No, due to specialized diet.

CAPTIVE CARE: This species requires a peaceful community tank, and may need to feed live foods including black worms and brine shrimp to help induce a feeding response. To ensure long term success, the Blackburn Butterflyfish should be provided with an adequate variety of soft corals and well established live rock infested with various crustaceans. This fish requires plenty of hiding places and only one should be kept per tank, unless aproven pair can be obtained.
