Blazin rebuild and upgrade

As a suggestion I went with the 30g tank for my sump. 36 x 12 x 16 , been working out great so far.

If you used 2by6's it'd be fine without them or if you went doubled 2by4's that'd be fine without the center braces sorry I like over kill just to error on the safe side :)

Holding tank up!

Ok so I have never built a stand. Jack is gonna help me. Do I need all those center braces?

I didn't put the center brace in the front of my 75gal stand and it has been up for a year with absolutely no sagging or issues at all. It's great not having it there when you need to work in your sump. I can post a link to my build later if you like (I don't know how to do it on my phone).

Changed my plans. No peninsula. Don't have the space for it. Plus the stand I got would it work right with it. So here is my idea. I know it looks like a kid drew it but I don't have CADA or anything like that. The return pump will be external in the cabinet on the right and I might try and hide the overflow box by building the rocks all the way up to the top. Maybe. The rocks might change depending how I feel when I start making them.

Ok so what do you think of the rocks? I am making them myself out of ceramic. I was think since the light is only 36" and the tank is 48" the ends will have lower light to get chalices off the sand. Plus I was thinking on the middle rock I was gonna put a spot for a couple corcea clams since they love high light.

I think if done right an you take your time so they don't look really man made it'll look awesome

With your rock build you might want to take a piece of dry rock and use it to texure the ceramic, should give you a great look, maybe even use some shells for a fossil print. The nice thing is if you don't like it, you can cover it with corals.
