Blue Chromis Reappeared

Hey guys and gals. Something odd has happened twice now. Just looking for some wisdom on what’s going on. So I have 6, apparently, blue chromis in my 120 gallon. One of them went missing for about a month. I couldn’t find him. Then one day he was there again. Then this very same thing has happened again. He came back last night. So far this morning I do not see him. I don’t know how he survived without food. Is he getting stuck in a rock?

Ammonia = 0
Nitrate = 2
Phosphate = 0
Alkalinity = 9
PH = 7.9-8

Can't say anything about chromis but lots of fish will go into hiding, I have a oyster goby that hides for months before popping back out

I lost a yellow watchman goby for two months out to find it under a rock in the back of the tank. They can find food.

Chromis can be aggressive towards each other. In a 120 with hiding places, you may be noticing that the fish is being harassed by the group and it hides, then re-emerges. How does it look?

He looks good to me right now. He’s still out and about looks fine. Although I I have limited experience so I’m not 100%
