Im assuming my dumb idiot jawfish ran into something pretty hard to hurt his mouth so badly. He’s been in this tank for a long time now, and he is normally very calm, so something must have spooked him pretty good. Is there anything I can use to help promote healing, and will this injury fix itself?

As this fish forages for food and pecks at rocks and structures, not unlikely to happen. While this should heal on its own, you can add reef safe ruby rally pro tank . If it becomes sore, treat in a separate tank using seachem Neoplex with added aeration using air stone

Is the mouth askew, or does it open and close normally? The fish is still in its burrow and eating normally?

Spent extra to have it delivered through Amazon on Friday. Unfortunately Amazon decided to not even bother bringing the package to the door, and I didn’t get it till today. Over weekend, I began to see the jawfish less, he is usually always watching me in front of tank. Not sure if he is eating now either. I dosed the Rally Pro, but is it truly reef safe? I’ve seen a lot of things online about how people have had negative experiences with it.
