Blue LED roll for supplemental lighting?

I have an eight bulb T5 and wanted to add some LED lighting for some pop in the evening. I don't really need anymore par or anything... I'm wondering if those rolls of blue LED will do anything or are they a total waste of time? The would be easy enough to stick onto the bottom of the T5 unit.

Otherwise I would go with an Oprhek or Reef rite bar but this seems much simpler and cleaner.

Has anyone done this with success?

There used to be some t5 tubes that were actinic LED. Dont know if they are still available?
