Blue rim on Achilles

It often stays but the blue rims are rather hard to get to show on them the older they are. Due to the fish growing but the rim looks like it “Shrinks” when instead it’s the same as it was as a juvenile.Anyone know if this is because he is just a juvenile? Or does it stay?

It shows on adults, only barely. It's like the fish grows, but the rim doesn't.

I think its also more prominent on some individuals. Ive even seen a few completely without it. But either way you have a beautiful Achilles there.
