Blue Squammy Growth Progression

Here are the clams about 18 months ago.... 4 and 6 inches.


Now, the fill up the whole space at about 7 and 9 inches. It amazes me how the smaller one has changed the pattern a bit. The color is more like the photo above, but I am a horrible photo taker.


The red arrow in the first pic is where the stupid Utter Chaos popped up and started to grow.

Absolutely stunning! You really have me missing metal halides now for sure.

Great job on keeping these beauties.

I love this clam... does it have 7 ribs or 6? I count seven one side and six on the other. I am amazed by this... the only clam that I know with 7 is T. Noae.

6 on both sides as I count it, still more than my other squamosa, thinking about it some more Biota was also raising T. noae at the same time so who knows.

Totally cool. Some T. Maxima have 6. You know that I do not make it to Denver very often, but if you ever have an emergency, I will be right there to give the thing a home until you get everything sorted.
