Blue tang died

Welcome to Reef2Reef! I am sorry to hear about your fish. Were there any visual or behavioral signs of struggle before the fish died? How long has your tank been set up and have you experienced any other loss or challenges in your tank recently?

@Jay Hemdal

Wow, Bob. Sorry to hear about your loss. Hopefully, others might have some ideas about what happened. Welcome, nevertheless!

What are the parameters in this tank? Any other inhabitants acting weird?

Most times you can't really get to the bottom of fish death mysteries.
In most cases you do everything right and the situation is well beyond your control.

I had a blue tang looks like i couldn't get the fish to eat for the past week. Had it for about 2 months was all good before that. Any thoughts what could of happened? New reefer 6 months.
Thanks Bob
Hi, welcome to Reef2Reef

Sorry to hear about your tang. Are there other fish in the tank? My concern would be if there was a disease issue, your other fish could be at risk.

+1000% to what @Jay Hemdal said. At this point, the cause may always be a mystery. The bigger picture is what the domino effect can be on the rest of the tank. Without a bigger picture, we probably cannot offer you much constructive information. If you can shine more light, we wil all be happy to take our best educated guess.
Until then, I will just say that I am sorry for the loss and welcome to the salty family!
