UPDATE

I have lost most of my sps and bleached most of the other corals in my tank due to high alk and poor husbandry on my part. Ive started using kz reefers best salt to help lower my alk and keep it that way, and tank has shown much improvement in the past two weeks

Red planet still bleached but making a comeback

Thanks, and Sure, I took the frame of the stand from rc. They have a nice easy diagram to follow. I skinned it with paintgrade plywood, tried to keep it simple with the molding and ledge. Home improvement stores sell corners for crown molding that make it ALOT easier to fit, doesn't look as nice but not a headache to put on. All I did for the canopy was make a rectange out of 1x1 and brace it where I was going to make the cut for the swinging door. Add molding, hinges, and paint and voila! I am ok with woodworking at best, planning is what helps me out with my projects more than anything.

It is reef exotic rainbow. It was the first rainbow acro I found about 3yrs ago.

Thanks! I will update soon, i was away for 2 months and just returned. I am now battling a bad case of cyano right now on my sandbed. Started using microbe lift SB, so hopefully that will knock it out soon.

first two pics are from late april 2012.....had a MAJOR cyano problem! i was running biopellets and have removed them and everything is fine now

oct 2012

i have some good video of the tank, but im having a heck of a time get it on my computer and editing it :tongue: hopefully i will have it soon
