Complicated question, since it is not clear what exactly bolus dosing accomplishes.

The alk part is just sodium bicarbonate, but then they add some other stuff and ramp up lights rapidly.

Yes, check the thread.

Bolus dosing clearly works fine. Nonbolus dosing also works fine.

I’ve seen little convincing evidence that it matters much how alk is dosed.

wont a ventilated area raise ph anyway i have a tube from my skimmer to the window get around 8.0 to 8.03 gonna look at the thread

There are many ways to raise pH in clear and known and established ways. If that is a goal, I’d recommend one of those.
