Thanks Fuelmanthis is a great thread. great mentoring job, following the progress.
Yes i did. I will retest in a few days. Week 3 water change is tomorrow.Ta daa.
Very good. Leta keep the rowaphos bit more then. Once po4 drops below 0.1 we will remove it.
Btw am assuming your followed the direction exactly and the measurments are correct.
Whenever you finish test rinse the twat containers well with rodi or distilled water not tap water..
Great keep me posted.Yes i did. I will retest in a few days. Week 3 water change is tomorrow.
Amen BrotherThe more you spend time in the hobby the more you will appreciate the importance of test accuracy. Without good measurments it's hard to attempt to debug and issue..
You will see openions out there trying to rationalize inconsistency or assign less importance to accuracy for the sake of defending a tester or from feeling fatigued chasing the right answer.
I try my best to avoid that, with enough deep understanding there is always a path.
Some issues are still not understood, but do not give such judgment unless you seek scientific data that concludes the issue is not understood. If you reach such point you follow experince and seek guidance from people who run successful reefs.
About 2 hoursVery good. How long did you waited after the wc to check paramaters?
Will do, thank youVery good. Let's test mag and alk tomorrow.
At the moment your coral load is low so we cannot expect big alk consumption. The decrease in the alk is happening from the rowaphos and the water change mainly.
If mag stays low we will dose bit mag.

Good read, you can also relate to why no3 po4 levels are important in our reef aquaria.
