does anyone know if a bornemen anemone could injure or kill a small clownfish? I have several bornemens in my 14 gallon biocube and I just got a one inch black ice clownfish and don’t want anything to happen to it. Last clownfish I hit jumped out of my other tank so that’s why I’m putting it in the biocube until I get a lid.

The picture is of the tank with the clownfish in it right now.

It should be ok. I have heard of clowns sleeping in them. But like all nems if they want to eat something they will.

They have a potent sting. I had them for years (20) and had many clown fish. None of my Ocellaris or Percular ever live in one. I never have them eating any fish, clown or otherwise.

So they have a strong sting but not enough to kill a fish?

LOL looks awesome, but not yet.

ill start with the softies.

I've had bornemans sting fish, never ate any... but man they pack a wallop if they get your hand! (Of course I'm allergic to anemones and lps stings, lol)

Oh that’s weird. I’ve never felt anything from one when I touch them. I guess I’ll have to pay more attention next time
Curious if you have your hands in the tank frequently? My son has a frogspawn that never stings him, but gets me and anyone else every time. I think they detect somehow like a dog recognizes it's owner.

Oh that’s interesting, maybe I’ll try. I don’t have my hands in the tank a lot. The tank I kinda just leave it alone and don’t do much in it. The whole time I’ve probably only put my hands in like ten times in the last three months
