Bristle worm question

So my 75 gallon is now fishless due to the ich outbreak. They are being treated in qt. But I now have noticed that I have a lot of bristle worms. Like a lot. They are even coming out in the day and climbing on the glass. I understand they are beneficial, but how many is to much? I’m assuming my dotty had them under control. But do I need to add an arrow crab? Or just let it ride?

While fishless, food import will drop so their populations will drop.

The arrow will work on smaller populations but can nip at corals and others.

You could add some Olive Snails and along with reducing detritus in the sand, along with the lower feeding amounts, just wait that out.

When your fish go back, 6-line and malenurus wrasse can be helpful.

You can also “bait” a trap and that will get some too.

All Or some combination of the above, will lower the numbers.

It’s just weird that they arm “popping up” now. Is it because they don’t have a predator around?

They will almost all die off during the fallow period. Let it ride.
No food=no survival

Do I wanna do a little feed in the tank for the bacteria? I read that somewhere. Don’t know the validity.

You can throw a single large fresh shrimp in There for ammonia, but liquid ammonia is easier and dose controllable. Any inverts still in the tank?

if they annoy you, you can pluck them out with a tweezer - and I would not feed - tank will be fine for a couple of month

I got crabs, snails, Mexicans, pods

I kinda like them. Not gonna lie. Just didn’t know if they were an issue if I have so many. I don’t over feed either. Which is crazy.
