Brook or nem sting?

Been through three 90 min acriflavine baths over the past three days. Thought it was brook because he was hiding and not showing any appetite, but the white has not gone away, and some of the skin looks like peeling rather than mucus. I’m thinking this is a sting from the new anemone rather than brook. Thoughts?

That really looks like tankmate aggression - what other fish are in with it? Remember, fish can be sly - you may not see aggression while you are watching the tank. The fish hiding is probably a reaction to being attacked though.

Could it have become moribund and then picked on by CUC? It isn't Brook for sure, and an anemone would only cause that much damage if it caught the fish and started to eat it.

I have a flamefin tang, purple tang, solitary green chromis, and two clownfish. The gramma is usually very good about hanging out around his little rock, and I haven't seen any aggression toward him except one brief chase by the flamefin a couple weeks ago when first introduced. CUC is mild-mannered, consisting of two skunk and one peppermint cleaner shrimp and a host of snails. Methinks it tried to tango with the bubble tip. It doesn't show up well in the photos, but there are patches of white and one I just noticed on the other side this morning that really look like some sort of entanglement happened with something that burns....

@Jay Hemdal what's the best way to deal with this? Gramma isn't looking too great. What would give it the best chance of recovery?

Definately isolation if you can, even a net basket with a cover would work. There is no treatment for an anemone sting, and isolation helps with fish aggression.
