I've seen some great answers to these types of questions, and this is probably something fairly obvious. That said I couldn't find it for sure and figured a shot on the work scope would be a good starting point.

This starting up as single strand hair like algae. It doesn't cluster really at all, and occasional ends have a bulbous like structure different than the normal hair like form. It's greenish color (faint), and so far nothing seems to want to munch on it (trochus, turbo) other than maybe some ceriths (I haven't tried astreas yet though, and *maybe* the emerald crab and hermits are snipping at it).

Anyway, would love some thoughts. One image is a zoom out of the basic structure of what I'm seeing, and one of the bulbous like weird circular forms (usually this form/feature is at the end of a normal hair like strand). The other two are zoomed shots showing the rounder type region vs the rectangular form, and also an empty strand as well (presumably dead).

What kind of scope are you using? Many of us have been angsting over what scope to purchase for disease scrape examination, etc.

Ha... Might not be helpful, as I work in a lab, and this is our office tank. So I have access to some high end and basic supplies. This is a general inverted scope though, with the usual spread of magnifications. And the picture is taken on my phone through the eye piece.

I can take some more genreal pictures as well if you all think it would help. Overall, I just want a good way to combat it, since scrubbing, and munching have so far been poorly successful if at all.
