Hello folks!
I got this acro from a friend. It was completely brown and so far has not shown any color.

What kind of acro is it?
Help me with the posible ID.

Thanks in advance!

Could just be a brown tenius. Not all corals will turn to crazy colors, most in the wild are straight up brown.

Looks like a brown tenuis to me too, cook it in high light for a couple months and you could possibly get some colors out if it

I see a lot of potential in that piece. As stated by ncaldwell, cook it for some time. You may be surprised.

Frankly, all the names are overrated. I have an acropora tenuis in my tank right now that wasn’t doing too hot when I got it, and now green and yellow skin, blue tips, purple and pink polyp ridges, and the polyps are getting an orange hue to them. I believe it will be stunning when it finishes coloring up.

That said, give it time. This rainbow tenuis (because that’s what it is) I’m talking about blows my Walt Disney out of the water as far as color goes. Names are a gimmick.

Agreed, cheap colorless tenuis are great. Names just justify a 1000% markup
