I'm pulling my hair out today. I changed my DI resin and my TDS is higher on the outbound side than inbound. First mistake was mine - I put the DI cannister in upside down. Once that was fixed I expected the TDS to go down, Unfortunately I'm unable to resolved. I've taken the cannister out several times to make sure that the resin is packed in tight, I've run about 2 gallons of water, but inboud is about 6 TDS, outbound about 13 (the lowest so far) I've validated the values with a hand-held TDS meter.

It seems that the water is flowing through the cannister correctly but I'm worried that somehow when emptying the old resin I tossed a part...

BRS canister
Black gasket on top no gasket on bottom. Inside there is a sponge on top and bottom to keep the resin from escaping.
Are you using mixed bed resin? If not that could be an issue.
