Waiting for my pills to come in the mail. I am so ready to get rid of My GHA and Bryopsis. I have a few questions before I begin.
I have a 20g system so I would dose 2 pills (400mg)?
25% water change before treatment?
General consensus shows run skimmer on but without the cup for 4-5 days?
Leave carbon out until day 12-14?
At 2 weeks to 3 weeks do a 25% waterchange?
Do I keep dosing vibrant? I'm dosing it once a week right now
As stated, everything you said is correct. I haven't used vibrant but others that were using it while treating their tanks continued to dosing it too.

It states pulling off uv sterilzer, why is this. And if you pull it off during treatment what would safe and effective sterilization be?

If I remember correctly, early on in the thread the reason for taking the uv sterilizer off is because it could cause the medication to be less effective or ineffective altogether.
It's been suggested that any light source that contains uv be turned off during treatment.
By sterilization, do you mean keeping your water sterilized in your system or sterilizing the equipment?

Anyone leave their skimmer on during the treatment? I got nervous that my skimmer would overflow since it's an eshopps psk 75 hang on and turned it down all the way and put the cup back on. It's pulling some very dark skin but barely any because I have the cup barely resting on it and it's turned down. Here are my pictures 12 hours prior to treatment. I dosed last night at 12 so I couldn't get any pics.

I used Vibrant initially when I dose Flucon and then again 2 weeks later. I have not dosed it since. Just wondering what opinions are out there for using it.

Also the algae die off from my rocks caused a PO/NO spike several weeks after using the Flucon. PO shot up to 0.67 and NO to 100+. I have done several 20% wc 2 weeks after using Flucon but it did not help. Despite using phosphate binders my PO still is 0.27 a week later. And my algae reactor totally died down from the Flucon and has only now come back online. The spike has not caused much issue for my corals yet but it has been a bit scary. Not sure if anyone else had this experience.

Hi guys, sorry not been on for a while, you know work work work, anyway been a couple of months since my 3rd dose and all is well on that side with Bryopsis so far none has returned, a little did come back after the second dose, the 3rd seemed to knock it out for good, but i have a stash of pills if need be.

So on removing a coral from one of my tanks to the other. Unknown at the time i had bryopsis in the tank. My other one has it now. The first one is bryopsis free. My question is i need the ato from the one that has the bryopsis and use my apex for the ato for the one with bryopsis. Can i bleach clean the ato really good and move it or order a new one?

Admittedly I have not read through the entire thread but I'd like to know what brand name med the OP used and were from it was ordered/purchased. A Google search produced many OTC treatments containing fluconazole, however, I did not find any in capsule form that did not require a 'script.
Props to awais98 for pointing out that this med is antifungal and not antibacterial.
I just bought some from a fish shop near me. I have never used it and I do not know much about it. The tablets I have are called Flunco 200. I don't Have time to look into it right now. However while looking I did find this link. Is this the same stuff? https://www.amazon.com/Fish-Flucon-Antifungal-30-Tablets/dp/B01LVTZZ7A

I've had a heck of a time with algae popping up. After bryo started dying I had some GHA pop up, then Dino's. After Dino's died they brought GHA back! Now here I am finally with no Dino's, GHA dying, and bryopsis has totally stopped growing but it's still there.

So I'll be doing my second round of flucon in a few weeks -- just want to ensure the others algae are gone first.

I added proven back after first treatment and cha cane backnimmesiately ran a second round and added a Mexican turbo and it disappeared. I highly suggest that you run for at least 30 days and I would suggest a minimum of 14 days after there is no trace of algae before adding cleaning resins back in.

Day 5

Winning the algae battle! Picture 3 looks like cyano/Dino's forming. How should I battle that?

@Aj. Dinos are infinitely worse than bryopsis, GHA or any other green stuff. Do anything in your power to not let them take hold.

Starting round 2 of Flucon today. Just dosed. I'm mostly dosing to get rid of GHA. GHA popped up after my dinos and they've really been visually annoying me. I may have a few strands of bryopsis but they're few and far between.

Can you post a pic of your bryopsis, BTW? Close-up if possible?
