BTA split

I'm actually a little shocked. This is the first one that split for me and I have had BTA's for the last 10 years in different tanks.
I don't think I would have noticed the split if I didn't do my first water change in a month.
Just for fun I tested my water to see if it split because I have not been so long without a water change.
Everything tested where it always normally sits for the last few months. I don't dose, but just have an ATO and add elements once a week.
