Bta touching

I have a new Bta that I introduced to my tank I purposely put it on the other side of my tank away from my small group of Btas. I went to bed and when I woke up it had migrated to the edge of the swarm and now doesn’t look well.its constantly being touched by the sweeping tentacles of my other ones. Should I try separating it again or just let it be where it is and see if it survives? It hasn’t been fully open since I bought it and I’m worried.

Let it do it's thing. It can move if it wants to. Trying to move one to where you want it to be usually doesn't work as they have a mind of their own. I've had many touching each other with no issues but I have read that mixing high end bubble tips with common rose bubble tips sometimes can be problematic.

It could just be acclimating. BTAs can typically live together for a while. If you experience issues (possibly due to allelopathy) it typically happens very slowly (like months, not days).

Did you put it somewhere where it has a nice little crevice to retreat into at night? If not, it may be what it's looking for. In my (admittedly limited) experience, that's what they like.

Like color BTA's touching is not a problem, I do not mean any offense here, but the looks of your picture this tank looks way to new to have BTA's. They require mature tanks that are at a very minimum running for 6 months. If it is a new tank, then this could also be the cause of your trouble.
