Bubble coral growth?

I recently received a bubble coral that been doing very poorly and receded back quite a bit from its original skeleton. it is now back out and feeding tentacles are evident but I'm wondering if I need to Frag the old skeleton away for new growth or if it will eventually grow back over or around the it.

Given the right conditions it should eventually grow back IMO. Also, fragging that coral might be more trouble than it's worth.

Ya I agree leave it as is. Given proper care it will heal over the skeleton in time. Fraging could cause it to stress and recede more or die.

I would leave it as it will probably grom back or grow a new skeleton over the old one. The skeleton on these corals can be brittle and you could crumble it into the healthy tissue when trying to cut the old out. If it is doing good don't risk it.

I have one that had receded, that had exposed and overgrown skeletal structure, which has now completely healed and regained the bare structure in under a year.

One of my favorites to feed and watch eat.
