Can anyone recommend a budget LED brand/model, I.e. under $200. I‘m looking to cover a 12 inch x 28 inch space. And preferably one with a quiet fan. I have 3 reefbreeder economy lights currently, and was thinking something similar. I still have a dark spot in my tank that this light addition would fill. There’s dozens of brands on Amazon, but I don’t know the good from the bad.

Alternately I could rearrange my lights and use 2x spotlights, each covering a 12x14 space if that is cheaper.

@noopsyche are pretty great lights for the price. During sales they are even more affordable. Best of luck:)

I second that, you honestly won't find a better light in that price range.

I know its more than you are wanting to spend, but they do have a percentage off code for R2R,and if you order tonigjt the full kit (normally $310) is 39% off and only $190.

EDIT: Then sell your ReefBreeder ones and make a few bucks back !!!

I would suggest a nicrew 150. I like my noopsyches but in my opinion the nicrew are a bit better. Worst thing about them is you have to buy controller seperately which makes the light+controller a bit more than sale price of noopsyche but gonna get better spread with it over your tank also

They are 100% customizable. You can set whatever colors you want :)

my nicrew we're good but the noopysche are so much better. better shimmer, better spectrum, and better coral growth. I returned my nicrew because they kept having issues with the controller.

It's clearly personal preference. I'm currently running 4 noopsyches and 3 nicrew 150s and I greatly prefer the nicrews. Both are good affordable lights though

I'm using 3 over a 5ft mixed reef. I do also run 2 48in t5s. Possibly going to add another k7 though with my expansion of sps. The dimensions are 60 × 24 x 24 inches
