Hey All,

I am building a custom 20 gal sump for my 75 gal reef tank. I'm planning on using a herbie overflow but dont know how to connect the PVC to the bulkhead entering the tank. Any tips on how to connect the PVC drain and return to the bulkheads?

you just use pvc cement to attach the PVC into the slip of the bulkhead. check out my build thread, I did all the plumbing on this frag tank myself so the photos are pretty detailed.

I've used pvc cement on most of mine. I have read that abs bulkheads wont adhere to pvc with typical pvc cement. I have not had issues so maybe all my bulk heads were not abs or I got luck many many times. They do make an all in one cement does abs, cpvc, and pvc. Is that what you are looking for?

Looking through it now, super helpful!
