I am currently running a Viperspar 165w on my 50 gallon reef. I have it about 24 inches above my tank running at about 75 blue and 55 whites. I am seeing good growth on my birds net and my softies (for the most part). I am thinking about building a hood with 2 36" T5 HO bulbs and possibly adding my current Marine 24" LED. I think the LED is around 23 watts at max. Do you think this will be a better setup then my Viperspar? I like the natural look of T5 but want some shimmer and nightlight functions of the LED. Tank depth is about 20" width is 36".
