I just can't find the sump I am looking for so I am planning to build one out of PVC, with some acrylic windows. I have never built a sump before, but I have the tools and have a background in wood working.

I would like to build it out of PVC, and have lids for the compartments to help with noise and also evaporation.

The sump will be around 34"x20"x18".

Suggestions on thickness needed of PVC (was thinking 1/4") , and any video's or threads to read would be great.

Thank you.

I noticed a lot of Sump Manufactures, use the thinner Acrylics, and put “Patches of the same thickness material in key places. Plus 1/2“ Blocks at the Corners, all for reinforcements. If the Corner Blocks are positioned slightly down, you could install lids later on.
