Besides sifting through sand any good way to find a eraser head size mushroom that detached from plug?

I wouldnt search for it. It will settle down somewhere its happy and grow. Youl see it eventually .

they tend to end up in the low flow areas of the tank if there is enough flow to blow them. If there is anywhere in your tank where detritus builds up that would be a good spot to look if you ask me

I lost a ricordia this weekend but found it lol. Just think about how the flow moves in your tank and search with a flashlight you may find it.
