Button Coral acting weird? Normal?

I have had this little guy for a few months now and noticed during day it would have 2 what looked like air bubbles inside its flesh then when lights went out and it was fully open I noticed these swirly white stands between bubbles. This may be normal but I think I would have seen before.

I don't think that's normal, but then again I could be wrong as I don't know what's going on there.
