Cabbage coral question

I've had this cabbage coral for a couple of weeks now. Today I noticed these tube things on it. It looks lime its coming out of the cabbage coral tissue? Is this something I should be concerned with? Just making sure its not a pest and/or if its something I need to treat.

OK....finally found out what it is called. Spicules! Not sure if this is a good or bad? Will keep reading! :smiling-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Looks normal to me. Decent lighting and good flow and they can get nice and big. :)

oh! Thank you for sharing that! I love it :grinning-face-with-big-eyes: I was suppose to receive a green toadstool but they didn't have it in stock when they shipped my order so I picked the cabbage coral over the kenya tree they offered as a replacement. Def not sad about it lol I think mine may be the same color but with a little more yellowish color to it. It's so much fun to watch it and see where it decides to plop it's "leaves" for the day lol
