Hi - I just received my Cade 1200 S2. Very excited to put it together, but WOW is it heavy.

Has anyone had any issues with floor stability? It will be placed on a level hardwood floor with a crawlspace below. Should I be concerned?

You're looking at about 1200lbs plus the stand in terms of weight, but without any details/images of the crawlspace and any supports it would be impossible to speculate (the resident engineers could probably advise). Very nice tank - best of luck!

agree with the above, shots of the floor joists and surrounding area would be helpful. And there are some relatively straightforward means of distributing the weight underneath the tank.
age of the house?
not too much heavier than a piano
And by the way a proud Cade owner from Athens.

Agree with the suggestions you check your joists, it's never going to hurt if you place some additional bracing. Placement of the tank is also a factor. It depends on if it's in the middle of the room or up against a wall, especially if it's a supporting wall.

One thing I did was to cut a 3/4 sheet of marine grade plywood just slightly larger than the footprint of the tank to leave a 1" perimeter and painted it with some water resistant coating to protect my wood floors. I put the plywood on top of that orange eggcrate stuff used for laying down tile. This helps distribute the weight and minimize damage from spills.
