Hi everyone so I'm going to be starting a new tank build first time going for a shallow reef , come across a really good deal on a cade on Ebay, just trying to short collection and getting equipment together , gonna be upgrading from the red sea nano xl g2

It could be a long wait , going barebottom it's definitely taking longer to cycle than any of my other tanks , gives me time to try and beat diatoms in my nano tank

So upgraded the wavemakers to maxspect gyres cloud additions should be ample flow to move around the tank will get a better feeling once actually get some corals in

Nice score. I run BB on my 150.
I used 150lbs live rock and had coral in within 2 weeks.
If your local let me know. I have a few abro slimer Stags I can give you if interested when ready.
My system is only 1 year old.

Not quite it's chester in the uk near Liverpool, and wow thats some rock , think mine got around 45 lbs in it , only thing is just watching it cycling what if I did rock like this or like what , I did put a piece of live rock from nano system to help along it's been roughly 2 and a half week so far , but thanks for the offer of the stags

50% live rock works well. I did that on my old 120. Took about 6 months and you can't tell what was live or dead.
The only real issue with dead rock is the ugly stage. Takes longer to become a mature system. The more live rock the better, imo.

Looks great , im gonna try and do some sps in the cade tank once it's stable , just put the other radion onto the tank this evening, got to say love the way it looks , only put lights on to take pic,
