I have always had led, but I regularly see people bounce back to *adding a t5 made my corals so happy* and it makes me wonder if I should....

Sounds like you made up your mind. I'd also stick with what you know you love and can reuse equipment to save money. I've had the new tank woes for some time now. I hate how expensive it all feels now. Our household's paychecks arent keeping up with the rapid cost of living, and I am definitely second guessing my decision on the daily. I feel guilty every time I need to get something, so I have done very little with it so far.

Then a kid comes and you lose a salary for months, and when it comes back at 40% if you're lucky...

I have been debating on adding t5 to my reefbreeders as well.

Survived another year working retail on BF.

Did minor shopping myself, stocked up on some fish food & bought a single pair of pajama pants - all online. Still contemplating picking up a lumenbar while they're on sale. Not sure yet, I have a few days...

Updates:

I got nothing....

House news:

House has had zero progress in the last two weeks, other than they came and took down a shutter and put up a different identical one. Honestly not sure why, we can't figure out what was wrong with the other - none have been painted yet either. Front/Garage doors still not painted. All the patch-work they did inside still not painted. Still haven't made the call for the last 2 appliances.

They said the electrician was scheduled last week to do the hot test and install the last 2 fixtures (the ones they emailed us about 6 weeks ago claiming were urgent and needed to be there within 2 days). But they followed that up immediately with "But since it's a short week it may not be until the week of the 27th." I wish I could be that flexible with things expected of me :rolleyes:

That has to happen for the electric final inspection call. No reason they haven't done the plumbing final call. They told us "early December" last we got an estimate but they're not great at timelines so who knows. In theory, this **** could all be done this week but it definitely won't be the way they work.

Tank news:

I got a variety of new foods for the fish this week, they're loving all of it. I do plan to pick up some more omegaone garlic flakes from work when I get back, and I need a big jar to mix it all in.

Trying to decide on the lighting situation for the upgrade still. Definitely setting my reefbreeders back up but it was in need of a little supplemental previously due to the 24in back to front. I also can't remember for the life me of me if I still have a light mount for them - I know my original snapped but I can't recall if I bought a new one and just put it straight into storage or not.
